Hey! I’m Daljit — the founder of Fem Formal. Honestly, I’m just a girl like most of you, still figuring out life day by day. But if there’s one thing I’ve always been sure of, it’s how much I love dressing up , again like every other girl

I believe a woman should never have to choose between elegance and power.

Fem Formal began with something personal.

My mother has been a tailor for over 30 years. I grew up watching her turn fabric into something more than clothing — something created with patience, precision and pride. Her craftsmanship became part of the foundation of how I see fashion.

When I moved to Canada, I started looking for the kind of clothing I wanted to wear myself.

I wanted pieces that were minimal but not ordinary, feminine but not fragile, powerful but still elegant. Something that felt modern and belonged here, while still carrying a sense of individuality and where I came from.

But I couldn’t quite find it.

There were beautiful basics and formal essentials, and there were bold statement pieces — but I noticed a space in between.

That gap became Fem Formal.

We create clothing for women who don’t want to dress like everyone else, but don’t need to be the loudest person in the room either.

Every piece is designed with intention — through thoughtful silhouettes, unexpected details and craftsmanship that makes a garment feel personal rather than disposable.

Because to us, luxury isn’t about following what is popular.

It’s about creating something that feels worth keeping.

Fem Formal exists for the woman who values individuality over trends, craftsmanship over excess, and clothes that become part of her identity rather than simply another thing in her wardrobe.
